How often do we pause for a moment with the feeling that something should be done, then put the troubling events out of our minds and return to our familiar round of daily activities? Your contributions to Only A Child continue to help street kids in Guatemala rebuild their lives.

The Only A Child Spring Auction is now closed. Thank you all for taking the time to point, click and bid in order to support Only a Child. The funds raised through this auction will directly benefit the homeless Guatemalan youths who are being given a second chance at Only a Child's carpentry shop and shelter in Guatemala City.

The Auction May Be Gone, But Our Mission Goes On!

Even though our auction has ended, our organization and our mission have not. Only a Child began as a simple outreach program, going out into the world of street children in Guatemala - a world of violence, drugs, and gangs; a world where hope has been lost and survival is all that matters. In the beginning, Only a Child offered these kids life's most basic necessities: food, clothing, medical care when they were sick, and most importantly, love and affection.

Since that beginning, Only A Child has opened a shelter and a carpentry shop. It also provides all of our youngsters with the opportunity to return to school to complete their education.

This year, in our first online auction, our goal was to raise funds to support the work of Only A Child and ensure that more kids can go through the program, leave the streets and rebuild their lives. Thanks to our generous donors and bidders, we achieved our Spring Auction goal.
